The DISC assessment is a widely used personal assessment tool that measures four dimensions of an individual's personality: Dominance (D), Influence (I), Steadiness (S), and Conscientiousness (C)14. This behavioral self-assessment tool is based on psychologist William Moulton Marston's DISC emotional and behavioral theory, first published in 1928.

Key Features of DISC Assessment:

  1. Purpose: DISC is primarily used to improve teamwork, communication, and productivity in the workplace.

  2. Measurement: It measures tendencies and preferences in behavior, not intelligence, aptitude, mental health, or values.

  3. Assessment Process: The test typically consists of a questionnaire with about 80 items, taking 15-20 minutes to complete. Respondents rate statements on a five-point scale based on how well they describe themselves.

  4. Results: After completion, individuals receive a profile report explaining their behavioral style and strategies for effective management of their DISC personality type.

DISC Personality Types:

The four main DISC personality types are:

  1. Dominance (D): Results-focused, confident, and motivated by success4.

  2. Influence (I): Enthusiastic, energetic, and skilled at influencing others4.

  3. Steadiness (S): Calm, dependable, and motivated by cooperation4.

  4. Conscientiousness (C): Emphasizes accuracy, expertise, and producing high-quality work.

It's important to note that individuals typically have traits from all quadrants, used to varying degrees.

Applications:

DISC assessments are commonly used in business and government organizations to:

  1. Improve team dynamics and effectiveness

  2. Enhance communication between employees

  3. Aid in personal growth and career development

  4. Help managers understand their team members' motivations and work styles.

Tools

EOS-accountability-chart.png

Fred Rainville is using the EOS Accountability Chart.

We believe the answer lies in this simple principle:
Every business, big or small, has Six Key Components™.

To the degree your business leaders and managers can strengthen those Six Key Components, everything just has a way of falling into place and you will catapult your business into the top 5%.

EOS gives leaders & managers what they need to strengthen The Six Key Components and provides a comprehensive way of running your business so you can strengthen each component and produce the results you want. A strong, healthy, profitable company that experiences real ‘Traction®’.

It works in any entrepreneurial company and across all business models because the system is founded on time-tested methods and principles, not business management theories or “flavours of the month”.

Using the EOS Accountability Chart in Ninety removes ambiguity from your organization in two ways: As a leader, mapping out the roles and responsibilities of each seat reveals the holes in your organization. As an employee, it paints a clear picture of what you're accountable for.

Build a stronger foundation for your organization.

Marshall Goldsmith is one of the world’s most accomplished and in-demand executive coaches.

With a client list that is a who’s who of the highest level global CEOs, he is very selective in choosing clients. Marshall’s clients are CEOs whose work is critically important to the organization. He currently has a waiting list of six months for any potential new clients. Marshall’s coaching process is unique. He only gets paid after his clients get better! “Better” is not defined by Marshall or by his individual clients. “Better” means measurable positive change in pre-selected leadership behaviors as determined by pre-selected key stakeholders.
